Hello readers, how was your reading month? Discovered any new favorites authors or books? Today I’m sharing the books that I’ve read this month (shown above), and will be discussing my top favorite reads of the month!
“You look like an axe murderer, brother,” he said. “Like a goddamn horror movie, them elevators bleedin’ into the hotel lobby. Why don’t you get yourself cleaned up?”
19-year-old Michael Morrow isn’t like the rest of his family – a family that abducts and kills. This book is so twisted and will easily grab you from the very first chapter. It has a Gillian-Flynn-like atmosphere and it extraordinarily builds towards a clever, heart-wrenching plot twist, followed by an unforgettable, action-packed, haunting ending.
No other book by this author compares to this one. A real estate agent is abducted in broad daylight, and the trauma that follows is horrifying to watch. Who is the real culprit behind the kidnapping? Get ready for a wicked reveal.
A mother moves next door to the woman who adopted her baby years ago and starts stalking her. If you love “WTF” twist endings that make you gasp, The Memory Watcher is for you!
The Summer I Died is the kind of book you can never come back from. This is a gory horror-thriller where two best friends face their worst nightmare when they hear a woman screaming in the woods, and end up being held captive by a psychopath. That bloody, victorious, fury-filled ending is one you’ll never be able to get out of your head.
This is my second favorite book by Bolton after Daisy In Chains! A boy keeps seeing a creepy-looking child wandering in the village where he lives; and there’s a therapist with a dark past, in addition to a third intriguing POV. That ending unsettled the heck out of me.
